For the preparation of this schnaps there are used the flavoured cherries harvested from the gardens of the Rasnov locals, which give the distillate a sour- sweet taste without covering though the strong cherry flavour.

Preparation:

to obtain a 0.7 l bottle you distil a quantity of approximately 16 kilos of cherries.

Arguments:

It is the preferred drink of the intensely flavoured distillate lovers, being served either as a digestive or even served with the desert, together with cherry pie or even marzipan.

Taste:

Fine and elegant, persistent, tasty and very flavoured.

Smell:

Specific cherry scent, with a floral hint and a delicate fresh fruit perfume.

Recipes

KIRSCH CUBA LIBRE

Ingredients: 50ml Cherry Rosenauer, 150ml Coke, the juice from half a lime, ice
Preparation: After filling 3/4th of the glass with ice, first pour the lime juice, after pour the schnaps and last, the coke.
Recommended glass: Highball glass.
Decoration: Lime slice onto the glass

PIT STOP

Ingredients: 30ml Cherry Rosenauer, 5 ml Almond Liquor, ½ lime, 5 ml sugar syroup, ice
Preparation: Crush the lime together with the sugar syroup and the ice. After this, mix it with the almond liquor and the schnaps.
Recommended glass: Tumbler
Decoration: Glazed cherry and lime
